Inspired by European conviviality and the desire for neighbourly connection, Lagotto is an Italian restaurant, wine bar and food store in Fitzroy North.

Created in collaboration with Flack Studio, the restaurant provides a space for residents in the apartments above to connect with each other and the local community. Raspberry terrazzo flooring, red steel stairs and burgundy banquette-seating were playfully paired to form a design that feels tactile, vibrant and effortless.

Like other Milieu hospitality venues, Lagotto is a means for Milieu to continue working long after settlement, further contribute to and engage with the neighbourhood, and establish authentic ties to the people who live in Milieu homes.
