100 Albert Street, Preston
Completed (2016)
Driven by a goal to create sophisticated yet affordable homes in a growing area of Melbourne’s inner-north, the project relies on thoughtful massing to deliver eight dwellings on a site that would typically house three.
The architecture mitigates the appearance of high-density housing through clever use of materials synonymous with residential design, such as pitched roofing, paling fences, weatherboard and brick. The effect is a modern, design-focused offering that’s well suited to its suburban surroundings.
Designed in partnership with DKO architects, 100 Albert Street underscores Milieu’s belief that refined modern homes can be attainable when designed well.
